so they asked me to help to go to the hospital to get a body home so I did that and the service went OK Meny people come,

Henry and Andrew was there, I was happy to see more people raise there hand for salvation,

Friends, I just got these pictures from Rackson and I wanted to get them to you. First let me say Rackson sends his love and thanks for your support in this project, the village was without clean water for several weeks and the chief (his name is doctor) very worried about his people, he was the first one who got saved in that village when Rackson and I presented the Gospel to him a few years back. He wanted the borehole (well) on the property of Bible Way Baptist Church if at all possible, you find water where you find water but told me no matter where the water was found that would be Bible Way Baptist's land. (the Chief is a good guy) we found water on church land and all was well for a while. As you all know there are a lot of poor (read have NOTHING) who live in Malawi and one night the thieves came and stole all the parts they could from the well rendering it useless.

Rackson called and told me and I e-mailed and told you and thank God many of you who know Rackson or know of him sent money to get the well repaired. I got the money to him as soon as I had enough ($600.00 +) and in no time things were happening. Thanks you and God bless you for what you have done.

Rackson informs me that I have been calling the village Njuli and that is incorrect, Njuli is the region the village is call Doctor same as Chief's name, go figure.

A Christmas remembrance of 2010

Oh what a year! God is good and He is good always. January was just the continuation of a wonderful event that started in October of 2009. As you all know Rackson Kaiwe, my son in the Gospel and the son of my heart has been with Sheila and me and will be for a few more weeks. When we brought him home from the airport and showed him the room he would be using he said “oh, my room is so beautiful” folks, it was our 3^rd bedroom used as a sewing room and catch all (junk) room. In November and December we traveled all over the Southeast region of the good old U.S. and boy did we have a good time. Rackson enjoyed the many, many things we saw and did. A lot of time was spent studying the Old Testament under the teaching of Pastor Wright. The many lessons taught to us by Rackson while at Bible Way Baptist were as valuable as the lessons he learned from Pastor. All in all we are much learned people and God was glorified and His Son was lifted up. January is my birth month and what a great day was had with Sheila and my son, trust me we ate well and had fun for hours, so many things to cram in and time is running out. February was a bitter sweet month as Rackson left on the 13^th I believe. We sent him home with a ton of stuff from people who met him and wanted to be a part of his life. Before he left we toured some places, Rock City, Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls and many other places in Chattanooga and all things in between. Of all the things we did I think we enjoyed the evening at home just talking about whatever. If Rackson wanted for something all he had to do was look at Sheila and say “Mum” and whatever he wanted Sheila would make sure he got it. Rackson left with the promise of support of his mission to serve Christ. He also took many hearts back to Malawi but left a lot of love as a down payment on the future when we will all meet across the river. March was a little bleak both in spirit and weather and so it went for the next few months, staying in touch with Malawi and getting back to work with Bible Way. Sheila and I had a lot of catching up to do both at work for her and at home for me, did I mention I’m retired. As for going back to Malawi anytime soon that is a good news bad news situation. The good news is there is all the money we need for the work, the bad news is that it is still in the pockets of others. In July a little blessing named Stormy blew into our lives literally, we were watching a lightning storm from our porch and this little dog ran up and became the center of our life and home. We also received some sad news from my sister Barbara, Leighton her husband was not doing well and that maybe we should be heading for Portland, Ore. Well that is what we did and I am so glad we did. Leighton passed away within five days of our arrival. Sheila and I got to spend a little time with him in the hospital and hospice. We also were able to renew friendships at the church she and Leighton attended. We took 24 days and did a lot of traveling; we planned to go to Crystal Lake. MI and did so by way of Portland, Russellville, AR., Oakley, KS, Colorado Springs, CO, Green River, WY, La Grange, OR, Missoula, MT, Dickson, ND, Duluth, MN and then home to Pace. We drove a little over 7000 miles and spent many days with friends and relatives and not one bad day of driving. The rest of the year had been taken up with church, fundraising for Rackson and the ministry in Malawi, the Press Ministry, and politics. I tossed my hat in the ring for the Chairmanship of the county party, Republican of course. I let you know how it goes as voting is on the 16^th of December. Sheila’s had a good year as far as health goes and I have not done to bad. This last check up showed I have mild diabetes so I start class in a few weeks to learn how to eat. J Other than that life is wonderful. We wish you all the best this Christmas and pray the New Year is as good if not better than the last.

Merry Christmas, well it might be a little early but not for the subject at hand. I am enclosing a letter from Rackson as many of you have asked me what he is doing now that he is back in Malawi. The letter will bring you up to date. I will edit it a little because of the spelling, I understand because I spell the same way many times. I am asking your help in making this a good Christmas for Rackson and his family. As you know he was in the states this time last year and he spent Christmas with Sheila and I. We did our very best to make it one he would remember and with all your help we sure did. There are many things that he could use this year. Talking with him I know he wants to have a Christmas celebration at Bible Way Baptist Church in Njuli, I know the congregation will raise as much as they can, two years ago they raised 54 dollars that is like a small church here raising a thousand. They will need about 300 dollars so they can invite other churches to come and enjoy some food and drink and have a two day worship service. He would also like to go into the villages and preach the gospel ahead of the Muslims and hand out some rice and corn and whatever fruit and vegetables he can get in the spirit of Christmas. The Muslims devote 5% of their earnings to buy gifts to give in order to preach “The Prophet Mohammed”, this will cost much gas money and gas is over 10 bucks a gal. A lot of you help in his support and God will bless you but at this time of year many look to help others who are less fortunate and I can think of no better person to help this time of year and as long as needed in the future. Those of you who met and know him know that any support he gets goes to the work of the Lord. He is helping build the future of his country on the foundation of Christ. I hope God is very good to you and your church,

I take this opportunity to update you about (the) work here in Malawi,

God has been faithful to me and my family, and Grace she is back to school now and she able to win some girls to Jesus, I have a time to go for soul winning and pass out the gospel tracks and to say (tell) the truth is that, people here in Malawi are willing to hear the word of God not only to tell them about Jesus but to have time to train them how they can grow in spiritually, and to tell them how they can found (find) a Bible believer(believing) Baptist Church, I thank God that now with God’s Help the Good Samaritan Baptist Ministry we have that program to go to the villages to teach them there, this is not easy it takes much money for fuel, food, and etc, we need your Lots of prayers,

I have been doing soul winning in the different Villages this month I (was) able to Win 85 people to Jesus. Some of the villages is too hard to drive so I have to work (walk) to get there But I thank God for been Good to me some of the people they can’t able to work(walk) to gave the gospel because they have no legs but God Bless me much, I will save (serve) him with my all heart

I have been traveling with Brother Fullford our missionary to different Baptist churches here In Malawi to teach and preach the word of God.

Last week I was in Bwaila Bible Baptist Church I preached there, and on Wednesday I have two hours of soul winning in Bangwe where our Church Located I have good time there to see 9 people surrender there life to Christ is it Good to see the Church growing,

This week I was at Bible Way Baptist Church the church is growing good God is doing much to this church, now we have 340 members,

Friends and supporters of the Malawi work, here is the latest and greatest from the dark continent, I received an e-mail from Rackson and thought I would pass it along to you. There are several items of note that I wish to comment on. First off yes, this is a letter of request from me, I ask for your prayers and support of this work. If you can help in any way it will be a blessing. This report is typical of the success achieved in winning souls to the Lord when someone undertakes the arduous task of going out to the villages to preach the simple Gospel of Christ. This last trip was taken because a faithful supporter heard of the need for transport (gas) and sent some money for that need. The last time I was there in Malawi at the very end of last year it was over $10.00 a gal. as you can see it takes a lot on money to go to the villages and this kind of money is just not in the budget of any Malawian let alone an Evangelist. About the time you think things are going well the wind whips up and blows down someone’s house. The Muslims take advantage of the situation by offering food so the people will listen to their message, we cannot match them dollar for dollar on food let alone putting of buildings. We have a fine church in Njuli but we need a lot more churches in a lot more villages. The work Rackson is doing is made more difficult now as it is winter in that part of the world and the rains make traveling just that much more difficult, you would not believe the roads once you leave the cities or large towns I know as I visited many of the churches while there last year during the rainy season, it was horrendous at best. I thank god that you’re doing ok here in Malawi God is still do his part
Last week I went to Chitera village for soul winning it was very good 86 people got saved is 20 miles to Baptist church as you know this village is a rounded by the Muslims they don’t know the truth and also this village they don’t have food so here the village where there is no food its where the Muslims take the advantage to help them and take them to their God, so I try to go there and I need to start a new Baptist church, as I am saying this now, many people from this village there dying and go to hell without Jesus I need your prayers I need to go back to this village again this coming week if God provided the transport please keep me in prayers,
I it is hard week this week because of the heavy wind blowing and many house fell down the bad news is the secretary of the Bible way at Njuli Malawi his also a care giver at the orphanage his house it is also fall down and now hi have no place to stay,
I was there to help and everything is going to be ok for him with God’s help.

Hie mom Thanks for your call it is good to hear your voice I was busy this morning try to found where we can buy maize I and Thandie we need to buy maize for childrens' home,

And in July I want to start soul winning and showing Jesus Film we need your prayers and your help we are going to start to go at the north so there we need $500 for Gas in our car and generator and food as well after there I and my group we will be around going in the villages for soul winning we need your prayers, Jesus film and soul winning it cost us $200 to the villages.

I bought the Bibles for the church i have 20 bibles so out of 227 is 20 people they going to have a bible. I will send you the picture for the bibles soon.

Rainy season brings more Malaria

I received a phone call from Rackson this morning and thought I would pass it along. He called to tell me a little 8 year old girl from the village who attends Bible Way Baptist, her name is Maria died last night from Malaria, it is the rainy season in Malawi and this will happen over and over again. Her Mother is the lead singer in Bible Ways woman’s singing group and her father works as a cook at the Mapanga orphanage. Rackson got the call last night as he was having dinner with John Fullford the missionary who is handling the work there in country. He gave Rackson all the money needed for the coffin and the transportation and food for the funeral, John at best is poorly supported and I know this money came out of his personal account, what a blessing he is to the work. I pray often that God will bless him and his family. You can read about John in the Malawi newsletter that I send out every few months. What a work he is doing. Pray for me and pray for Bible Way Baptist Church in Malawi.

I received this e-mail from Rackson over the week-end and I wanted to keep everyone updated on the happenings in Malawi and how Rackson is doing now that he is back. I edited it a little so as to be better understood. One thing it doesn’t say but he told me when I called is that HE paid for the casket out of his pocket and the church and family paid for the food. That is the custom there that the family of the one who died pays for the food for all who attend. In Malawi a funeral is a big social event both for the family and the village. The child who was 5 years old died of Malaria, it killed her in two days, village children have no resistance to disease due to poor diets. Anyway Rackson has little support and yet he is willing to pay for a casket because Margret’s mother and father are members of Bible Way Church in Malawi. I would hope this touches your heart and you would like to help in the work. No amount is to small when the Lord is in the work. God bless and keep you.

Things is going good here but Last week Friday we GATT(had a) funnel(funeral) at Bible Way. a little Girl called Margret she died on Thursday and we have a funnel(funeral) service on Friday and many people come, and more than 600 got saved in that day,
and we have bean (been) praying for the land next to good Samaritan, and John tell me that God is answer our prayers to buy land next to us This is very good.
Things is very hard for soul winning now because we have more problem with Mazda so sometimes we can walk if Mazda is not (running) good,

I just got off the phone with Rackson, not a bad connection at this time of day. Malawi is seven hours ahead of us (CTZ) so he was winding up his day at the Children's home. He called me just as he was entering the village where Bible Way Baptist Church is located. He is working with the local pastor visiting members of the church and inviting others to visit next Sunday. Bible Way is a very important part of the village life as it is a place where many may meet and have a safe and comfortable place to worship and learn more about Gods plan for the saved and what one needs to do in order to get saved. This is Racksons' strong suit and what he loves to do. Many have asked about Rackson so I am sending this update and including a few of the pictures he sent back. The first thing we got for him was a camera and boy did he ever use it. It was on his belt always. He got to use it while attending an American Marriage, funeral, church services (local and around the southern states), Naval Air Museum, Creation Museum, at the beach, on a boat fishing, Blue Angel Air Show, when he first saw ice, snow, the ocean, at an underground waterfall (Ruby Falls), Rock City, The Tennessee Aquarium, Malls (the size of a small Malawi city) and pictures of everyday life we enjoy here without giving it a thought. Most of what we did will be updated soon so please come back. He received many wonderful things from churches we visited and all got back to Malawi packed in suitcases without a loss of a single item, boy is God good to his children! That is not a question but a statement. He is doing the work of an Evangelist and he is doing it all the time. My only regret is that we could not raise more for his support. I lost count of the number of souls saved while he and I were working together in Malawi but it was in the thousands and I was slowing him down because of age and legs. He will continue to work as long as he has petrol money and can get to the villages, if no money, then he will walk as far as he can in a day and preach Gods word, that is just the kind of young man he is. He has been a blessing in my life and I know he has been one in the churches he visited while here in America. I am sending a few pictures he sent me. I hope you enjoy them and think on the work that is taking place in Malawi and want to take part in that work. Rackson has few needs outside the normal food, clothing and care of his family which consists of his wife Grace and their two children and his two brothers, who he is trying to make sure get an education along with food and shelter.

Have you heard! Rackson made the flight with the window of weather. They re-booked him to travel direct to Washington D.C. without stopping in Atlanta. Rackson's prayers were answered that day. All went well except for the additional cost of the extra luggage we stuffed for Grace. We had to send lots of presents for so many. There is always room for something for the Fullford's. Sorry Jonathon, even your school books made it.
We are waiting for pictures but as you know the internet in Malawi does not always cooperate. Soon Rackson tells us.
Bible Way Njuli is doing great and so happy to see Rackson and welcome him home. Now it is time to get busy and put the Pastor's teaching at work and help the other evangelists and go forth and tell others about Jesus.
Please continue to pray for our Brothers and Sisters in Malawi. The time is short and they need to hear about the Saviour.

The trip to the United States has brought some interesting days. Arriving at Washington D.C. airport separated Chuck from Rackson for two hours. Chuck an American citizen goes one way and Rackson sent another way. They asked and asked Rackson why he was here, how long he was to be in the United States and who paid for his trip. As he explained many times he is here to Thank those for helping with the mission in Malawi and give an update to those many churches and people that have so much love and Prayers for the children and people of Malawi. The immigration kept telling Rackson to go! Just go! Rackson with a deer in the head lights look said WHERE? It can be confusing for someone that is honest and innocent coming to the land we take so much for granted.
Rackson's first week has been so overwhelming. Lots of food, lots of people doing something or going somewhere! Electricity when you want it, Water when you want it, and Lots of food when you want it! You know Chuck when he is hungry there is Chuck.

Thank You Mike and Pastor for taking Rackson on his first fishing trip! WHY do you throw back the fish???

Coming to America

I spoke to Chuck and Rackson on Sunday night at 9pm our time, they were heading out at 3am their time for the trip to Lilongwe to the Embassy. Rackson has practiced and practiced what he is going to say so he isn't so nervous!!! I think the excitement of coming to America is to much for the young man! We get that way when we travel to a new place, however I think about what this means to a young man that has always lived in poverty and knows the village life. Rackson has done so well with the Bible teaching and it shows in his heart how much the Lord means to him! Chuck has remarked it took him till he was 64 years old to have a kid and what a kid he is! We are so proud of Rackson and his walk with the Lord!
3 am Rackson calls to tell Mum she can go to sleep now! I told him I was going to pray all night for their safety and for the papers! He was right I fell asleep right after I hung up and said THANK YOU LORD! Praises! for the wonderful ways he gives us so much. This was meant for Rackson and not just what we want for him! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store while Rackson is here!
Off to pack so more! I think I should think about where I will put my clothes!

The Monday trek!

Monday will be trip number 2! Chuck and Rackson will head to Lilongwe to the Embassy. Chuck tells me there is nothing like being on U.S soil even in Malawi! All the years of being on ship in the Navy and different ports all over the world gives your heart good when you step on American soil and see that U.S. Flag.
Chuck has quizzed and quizzed Rackson to help with the nerves! Rackson wants so much to come to the States! The trip to the United States will mean time with Pastor Bill learning about the Old Testament. How does the Old Testament tie into the New Testament. Visiting Pastors come to Malawi with a lot of Old Testament teaching. Rackson will also travel with Chuck to visit churches to present and update the works in Malawi.
The week has been busy with preparing for more visitors! I hear they are excited to work! Lots of Souls to tell about Jesus!

Off to Lilongwe on Monday!

Rackson has all his paperwork, that is till the Embassy says different. Monday early Chuck and Rackson will head to Lilongwe to get Rackson's papers to come to the States. I see excitement!
The past week has been very busy with little time to play. Chuck has been helping Bro. Mark Logan with the preaching, John Fullford has helped also, and lots to do with all the National Pastors and families at the Mapangua campus. Chuck arrives at the house and heads to his bed and collapses to be ready for the next day. The excitement of what is happening is a blessing for him!

Chuck has had time to help the girls do the dishes and show the girls the Monk side of him. He has also been polishing the sink in Malawi. There is still a spot (water drip) in the sink at home that will have to wait for him. Only Chuck can polish a sink!
The blessing of having a recording of the Sunday service before he left has been wonderful. Bro. Danny Cook sang a song "Pray for me and I Pray for You" has a special meaning for Chuck. Lots of prayers are going out both ways and lots of prayers are being felt in Malawi! Chuck also listens to the Pastors sermon and this time he can fall asleep without getting caught(you just did). Sitting in the front row does not permit your head to drop. The recording gives him comfort of home! Thank you all for your prayers!

For those of you who know Chuck, I have kept the kitchen sink polished and the rug at the front door turned just so and the list he has written is being checked off. He is funny! Don't tell him but the sink has a spot.
Saturdays are full! Today was spent soul winning then back to the college. The young people are attending a Bible College and Chuck will spend an hour teaching. The children are our future and they are growing physically as well as spiritually.
The truck is running again. The crank shaft went the other day, then looking for parts was an all day job. Then another part broke. I think Chuck is spending more on parts than on petrol to run it. Which has delayed him going out to the villages to help the churches. January and February Chuck did a survey, a fact finding, of the churches and what their needs are. The month of August along with Bro. Logan will be helping to build these churches to make them stronger in Scripture. Stronger also so the nationals can go out to their villages and tell others about Jesus.

Good Samaritan news!

Dr. Gentry would like everyone to adopt Good Samaritan for your Vacation Bible School project!
It would mean so much to the children!

Thandwe and Victoria are working on a project of putting together prayer cards for each of the children. We will have each of the childrens names and general information and picture. This will be available to the churches and individuals for sponsoring and writing to the children. Look for this soon!

The first picture was taken in April 2008 when Crystal was in Malawi adopting Savannah Hope. The children are Savannah's sisters the twins. They have been at the orphanage for six months or more and see the difference. Today they went to the airport to see the visitors from Indiana leave on an airplane. They were sitting on Chuck's lap playing as the plane took off. They are no longer afraid and as you can see they are so happy and healthy. God has provided in so many ways.
The missing luggage has also arrived! Chuck tells me the children will stop throwing water on him! He will have clean clothes.

I apologize to those following the blog, I had forgotten to post the arrival news! I have been updating my facebook page and forgot the blog.
Chuck did arrive in Johannesburg as scheduled and had a great nights rest. In the morning he remembered the 2005 trip but still had the second cup of coffee (they missed their plane) and went to the international terminal. However, I think the luggage went to the other terminal, it did not make it. So as they say there is another day to trek to the airport. The visitors from Indiana will be leaving (everyone is sad to see that happen) on Saturday so the trip will still be made to the airport, a bitter sweet trip.
Chuck is feeling loved by the Fullford children. They had balloons in his room and when he turned down the sheets there were pictures of bugs in his bed. He sure enjoys the teasing but look out. He did have to watch a Hallmark movie that night since he sent so many John Wayne movies. haha! Johnathon has grown a foot and bends to get through the doorway. Look out Chuck!
Chuck's arrival to Malawi was Wednesday so he immediately was able to spend time with the children at the orphanage. I am like all of you I too want pictures! How big have the children gotten. Where are their smiling faces? Soon I hope!

Dear Friends of the ministry, I will be leaving for Malawi this coming Monday and will be on the field Wednesday afternoon Lord willing. I will have a stopover in JoBurg, South Africa for the night so I get a good rest after the long flight. I hope to get a newsletter out while in country, I will gather information from Dr. Gentry and Bro. John Fullford plus what I can contribute. I will be communicating with Sheila best I can and she will put it together and send it along, that is the intention but who knows? In the last newsletter I sent there was a needs section from John, please re-read and see what you can do to make his/orphanage needs be filled. The container leaves for Malawi in November as I recall so if you have something that will help please contact Dr. Gentry as soon as you can and go from there. Also when I get back it I will be bring Rackson a national evangelist for the Good Samaritan missions and plan to contact all the churches I can to set up meetings. So stay by your phones with a pencil and paper with the dates you want me to come for a visit. I do not know how long Rackson will be here but I will love having him, he is a wonderful young man and loves the Lord. He is my son in the gospel. I will miss all of you and will tell you now I NEED your prayers. I go to Malawi with little or no plans, I just leave it up to the Lord on how he will use me. There is so much to be done in all areas of the ministries that planning gets in the way of what the Lord is doing sometimes. I know I will be visiting the churches and working with Gentry and Fullford at the orphanage and college. I will be having a dedication of the church in Njuli that was planted last year. I have members from Bible Way Baptist coming to be a part of that as the church worked so hard with Bible Way Baptist Good Samaritan Church in Malawi over this past few months of the building program. I wish you all could be there. I will send back pictures with Sheila as with the speed of the local internet if I sent one it might take the rest of my time just waiting of the sent message to appear. Preach, Preach, Preach

Time is going fast! and faster!

The time is almost here and it has gone fast. Do you think the time while he is gone will go as fast?
Is there enough medication as Chuck counts the boxes. He has been packing all day and there still isn't enough room for me or all the needed items that has been asked for! He did find room for the chocolate chips and some Peppridge farm dressing ( I think a turkey that has pecked John is getting cooked).
Rackson has decided to take his blanket and stay at the airport until Father gets there!! He is so dedicated. I just couldn't disappoint him and tell him it will be a few more days. Hopefully there will be no glitches at the airport in North Carolina or Washington DC this time.
Chuck is not sure there is a Dave's Famous BBQ in Malawi so he wants to go one more time! I think he is storing for winter. It is in the 40's at night in Malawi and yes they are in their winter even though the day temperature is in the 70's. The twins (Savannah's sisters) have been so cold so we were able to find some turtle neck shirts and some jackets for the girls and for Rackson and Grace's boys! I hope the children don't grow to much before I get to see them.

July is almost here and John, Darcy and the children have started to look for Chuck! He is there I tell them but they haven't seen him! That is because he never left. His mind is always there as well as mine but our bodies are here in Florida.
The excitement is high for Rackson to see Father again and he tells us Father will be so happy with the progress of the Bible Way Malawi in Njuli. The church members are preparing for him also. It will be so nice to see them all again when I go!
Do you have room for chocolate chips? We have 30 Bibles and eye glasses and medical supplies and wingnuts and wire cutters and tools and and and. Chuck doesn't need clothes! There is always room for chocolate but we know Chuck can smell chocolate from afar, I am not sure they will make it. Elizabeth and Sarah promise chocolate chip cookies, maybe they will make it.
Here it is a hot summer of 100 degrees, 100 percent humidity and the start of hurricane season. Isn't Chuck the smart one. The temperature has been in the 70's in Malawi. How fast can I pack my bags????

Dear Pastor and praying friends,
Fist(first) we would like to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Back to us here in Malawi, God is faithful to our Church; the church is growing in numbers and sprirtuary, now we need to thank you for your help we lily(really) thank you for (the) church building (it is a) nice one,

The money sent for the shirts for the choir members will also go for the ladies shirts and the mens black pants. Rackson can definitely stretch a dollar. The shirts are being made as always and we will have pictures soon.

Thanks for all the great responses and comments as to I and Sheila becoming full time missionaries to Malawi, not much will change with this commitment as we have been doing it pretty much for the last few years. It is now official with a sending church (Bible Way Baptist Church) and being on the road for deputation. We will not be in Malawi full/all the time but will divide our time to raising money here in the states and overseeing the progress in Malawi the rest of the time. We plan to be in country 2-3 times a year for 3-4 months at a time. The Fullford family is there full time for the next 3 years and we will be working with them and the national staff at the orphanage and bible college. Sort of how we have done it in the past but spending a little more time in Malawi and a lot more time on the road here in the states. I know some of you thought we were going to be gone for good, you should be so lucky. We also want to thank those of you who have already committed to help with our support both with prayer and with the finances and to answer the most asked questions, no, no amount is to small and we need to raise three thousand a month, some for transportation and some to live on while in Malawi and lots of help with the orphanage and college, that is many thousands a month and is ongoing. just a short note to get you caught up on what is going on in my life. As most of you know I got back from Malawi a little over two weeks ago and have been on the go since the wheels of the plane touched the ground. The good news is the Lord has called Sheila and me to be full time missionaries to Malawi. I don’t know what this means yet but I have been fighting with this decision for a long, long time and know now is the time to surrender to the call. Bible Way Baptist will be our sending church and we already have picked up support from churches in W.VA and KY. I will be on the road trying to gather more support for the work and myself. I need to get in as many churches as possible so if you can help in that area PLEASE let me hear from you. I have much work to do around the house and getting it ready to be left alone for periods of time. Also have had a lot of repairs done on the inside and out, things that should have been taken care of sooner but I just put off. I will try and keep you all posted as to what we are doing and how the work is progressing. I know I have your prayers and I need them so keep it up. The Lord spoke through an ass in the old testament so I guess he can use me also. Things are going well in Malawi and the church I planted last year is doing great. The new building is near completion and when finished will accommodate well over 500 attendees, the membership is over 200 now and continues to grow. I still need help with the purchase of cement, if you could help it would be much appreciated. $12.00 will buy a bag of cement and get your name on a brick . (see picture) if you can’t afford a bag of cement $5.00 will get your name on a brick, trust me on this. The Malawians do not understand why a person would want their name on a brick and it is too hard to explain it. Anyway that is what is up and may I thank you in advance for all that you do.
